During the winter months, I spent large amounts of time consuming food before huddling underneath my covers and sleeping extensively. I only emerge to eat more food. Being a lethargic potato aside, I'm back to working on finished piece of artwork. Don't get me wrong, I still sketch plenty, but it's time I start turning my brainstorming and ideas into actual finished products. I can't keep pretending I'm too busy to put myself out there when I'm really too scared that no one will buy the things I make, then complain that I have no money and I'm not doing anything with my art. It's time to nut up or shut up.

Digital art is HARD. I had enough trouble when I would draw something, and then scan it and color it digitally. Now I'm trying to get better at drawing only with my tablet. I've kept myself to short, rough drawings (usually an hour max), because I have a short attention span and because I'm more focused on experimenting than producing fantastic works of art at this point. But it's also FUN. You can get so many more kinds of textures than with traditional art, and it's really easy to fix mistakes (at least comparatively). And oh, the infinite range of colors <3 It's a process, but I'm happy to be chugging along :)

I really should consider actually drawing something that has a background. Ehh,
